Reviews all about glasgow, including the shops, property & clubbing guide. If its in Glasgow we have a review for it!
It might seem a natural extension to our love of review sites and their increasing popularity that we might start to place reviews about jobs and employers. It may sound far-fetched but I have already seen something close to it a couple of years ago where disgruntled employees of one firm warned off potential candidates in a forum.
Imagine it, you are looking for jobs in Glasgow and see the look of something you like. Should you apply? Hang on a minute, let's just take a peek at the internet and see what current or former employees thing of it... This type of site would really encourage employers to pull up their socks when it comes to treating staff fairly.
However, it would be more difficult to weed out the good reviews from the bad as they would by nature be subjective and ex employees who were sacked for good reason might turn their review into a biased and personal vendetta. (more...)
There are a small but growing number of individuals and companies who post fake reviews on websites. Luckily it is far from widespread and most of the reviews you read on the internet about a local dentist Glasgow or a hairdresser in Edinburgh are written by genuine people, but there are a handful which are either posted maliciously or for commercial gain.
The first type of fake review is one which has been posted maliciously – these might be commissioned or even written by a competitor in the same type of business to write negative reviews of the product or service you are offering and there have been instances of these on some of the travel websites.
The second is one that has been written for commercial gain. It could be for products that a person is selling on his website or ones that he is linking through to for a pay per click. (more...)
Unless you know exactly what you want, there is often much browsing and exploring needed before you buy something. While shopping online, there is one thing that can help us make up our minds about a certain product or service, and that is customer reviews.
Statistics show that most people rely greatly on customer reviews while making a purchase. Whether it is reviews about a seller on eBay, reviews about a restaurant or reviews about Hair Products, objective and fair reviews can affect a consumer's psychology.
Of course, what constitutes a fair review can be of some dispute when it comes to online posts, as businesses can post reviews about rival companies. This is still a possibility and indeed a common practise, so it is important not to rely on just a few reviews while making a decision. (more...)

Shopping online is a simple and convenient way of shopping. Today, with most things available online, often at cheaper prices, it is important to know about how to shop safely and effectively on the internet.
The internet has enormous amounts of information about most things. You can find information about the history of the world to house prices in your locality - it's all likely to be there somewhere. Exploring and browsing while shopping becomes a matter of clicking the mouse, rather than driving to various different places and spending money, time and energy.
Another wonderful feature about the internet is that one can find reviews of various products or services by fellow customers. Reviews can be useful while making shopping decisions as it can help you understand more about the product or service from someone who has already used it. There are independent review sites which make sure that the reviews are authentic and unbiased.

Everything, well, almost everything, is available online today. All you have to do is type in what you want, press search and it's likely to be available. Even if it isn't deliverable and you can't buy it with a click, you can certainly browse the market online for almost anything under the sun.
Window shopping can be fun, but for people who don't really fancy travelling from shop to shop looking at things, online browsing can be a boon. Besides, there are add-ons such as customer reviews and comments which can also help and contribute to the experience.
From cosmetics to clothes, from jobs to jewellery, everything is right there waiting to be explored. If you're looking for accommodation, say flats to rent Glasgow city centre or the area surrounding London for example, look no further than the internet. Most estate agents have web listings and independent listings are also available on classifieds websites.
